CBD in Pesto

No matter the time of year, pesto is one of the best accompaniments for pasta, chicken, or veggies.

This recipe will freeze well, so make a bunch while basil is in season during the summer months, and freeze batches in oil to keep it green. (Frozen basil will turn black if air can get to it, so float a layer of Olive OIl on top to preserve it. And if you scoop out of a single container in the freezer, remember to add more oil to cover before putting it back. If you do get some darkening it is still fine to eat, just less pretty, and you can always scrape off the black and add more oil on top to freeze again!)

CBD Pesto:

  • 4 tsp blue sloth CBD Full Spectrum 500mg Tincture

  • 1/2 cup of cherry tomato

  • 4 cups fresh basil

  • 1 cup grated parmesan

  • 1/2 cup pine nuts toasted

  • 3 cloves garlic

  • 1 lemon juice and zest of

  • 1 cup olive oil

  • salt and pepper to taste

(You can substitute just about anything in this recipe for availability or personal preference. Trade Basil for Parsley, Carrot Greens, Arugula, or Spinach. Trade Parmesan for Romano, Pecorino, and a vegan dry cheese. Trade out Pine Nuts for less expensive walnuts. Just don't give up the garlic or the olive oil.)
